This can sometimes be the case also in ATS, but it's not as unpredictable (at least for me) (although Phoenix's highways can be a nightmare). In ETS2, if you miss an exit, or take a wrong exit by being in the wrong lane, you're toast. If you're not prepared for sudden lane changes and immediate (I call them "suicide") exits, then you can go back to ATS until you are. When I jumped into ETS2, it was like trying to drink from a fire hydrant. I bought ATS and ETS2 together, and fortunately for me, since I live in the U.S., I was able to "learn the ropes" in ATS.

As for mods, thats kind of a hard question as mods mostly depend on each and everyones taste. Mostly to support SCS in future endevours, still - some of them are really nice. Truckskins depends on your taste, i tend to buy at least the non national ones. If you are into Scania Trucks, Mighty Griffin DLC is also a nice pick. At least i found things on those maps i can appreciate. What mods and dlc do you recommend getting?įor ETS2? Well, for sure i can recommend all of the SCS map DLC, be it Going East, Scandinavia or VLF. At least from what i heared the lack of truck manufacturers in ATS is mostly due to the manufacturers hesitation to hand out the needed licenses. But as of now, it simply lacks the content ETS2 has. With some love, i think i would think about adding ATS to my gamelist. Originally posted by Beltane:Friend of mine bought ATS some while after i started with ETS2.
